As an American who has traveled extensively throughout Greece, I have never stayed somewhere as special as George and Athena’s lovely home. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a warm fire, tea, and pastries then led to our lovely room. The house has been in George’s family for eight generations (since 1860). George walked us around the house and told us all about the house’s fascinating history. It’s basically the Greek version of Downton Abbey (but with all the modern amenities you could dream of)! I would love to visit again!
